Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

child custody after judgement

I just got divorced and the divorce decree stated my visitation with my son. what recourse do I have now that my ex-wife did not comply with the visitation schedule? do I file an ex-parte order or a motion to modify custody?

Re: child custody after judgement

I am not clear as to what your question is. When you state that your ex-wife did not comply with the visitation schedule, do you mean that she is denying you visitation and not complying with the schedule? Is she changing the dates or time of visitation? If she is interfering, denying or changing the schedule as stated in the decree then you should file a motion for contempt if you believe she is willfulling disobeying the terms of the final decree that provide for a specific visitation schedule. However, I would have to review the decree and then discuss with you how she is not complying.
