Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
child custody moving out of state
My ex and I have joint legal custody of my daughter with me as primary. I have a standing criminal restraining order and a no contact order on him. He has paid $0 child support and soon his home will be foreclosing. However, he does see my daughter on a regular basis (her request). What are the chances that the judge would grant me perimission to leave CT and move to FL? My fiance and I have extended family there and great job opportunities.

Relocations cases are very difficult and each one must be looked at individually. You should seek a consultation with a family law attorney.
You should also consider what effect a relocation will have upon your daughter, who obviously, wants and has a relationship with her father. She is the real issue here.
