Child Education Support

If you were paying child support for one of your children, but now he is 18 years of age, and now he is going to school, and in your divorce decree it states you are responsible for his education, but now your financial situation has changed. How do you change that responsibility??

Re: Child Education Support

You will have to file a motion to amend the prior order of support based upon the financial change. In such a case you will have to establish (via evidence/documentation) that you are unable to pay the amount as set out in the prior order.

You would have to file a motion with the court in order to change the current order.
