Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
Child support
My son is still in high school and will graduate on the 20th of June 2007. He is already 18 years old as of May 3, 2007. Can I stop the child support payments when he had turned 18 years old in May or keep paying child support until he graduates high school. There is nothing in my divorce agreement stating anything about it.
I live in Connecticut and having a hard time finding this information on line with out consulting an attorney.
Thank you very much for helping me out with this question.

Re: Child support
Yes subject to agreement if any and subject to the self dependancy of the child. Before stopping life support, it is advisable to you to consult an legal attorney.
Re: Child support
You must pay until he graduates. If the money is being taken out by wage execution, you'll have to go to court to get a court order to stop the withholding.
Re: Child support
This may depend on the wording of the agreement and what your son does in the future. If he is dependant on your ex-wife, then you may still be liable for some support. If you need further help, you can email me at [email protected].
