Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
child support
My ex wife, who has been fine with $890 a month for child support is now asking for $1200 in the divorce. She knows that I get paid based on where I live so she waited till I moved to Groton, CT to file and she is in Florida.
1. Where is the best place to look about what I get charged for child support?
2. How much is hidden alimony?
3. Can she make me pay for her lawyer fees if I file on Connecticut?

Re: child support
In all states, child support is set by statute, usually as a percentage of income. Alimony is not set by statute - it dependes on party's needs, income potential, length of marriage, health, education, etc. Depending on your respctive incomes, yes, you could end up paying for some of her attorney fees.
