Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

When does my childsupport end? My son will be 18 in January of 2011 and my daughter is 21 and has her own child and I am paying for both children to this date. My son also dropped out of school and is attending a part time GED program,do I have to continue to pay support if he is not a full time student?

For the son, you must pay support until his 18th birthday or, if he is 18 but still enrolled as a full time high school student (not in a GED program), until his 19th birthday or until his graduation, whichever comes first.

For the daughter, same deal. Support stops at 18, but not later than 19 or graduation from HS, whichever comes first.

This is based on a Connecticut divorce. If it's another state, all bets are off. If there's a wage execution in effect, you'll have to go back to court to get the execution lifted. Good luck in getting back any overpayment.
