Re: Cohabitation

Co-habitation doesn't mean sex, although that may be part of it. The statute says the alimony can be modified if the court finds that the party receiving alimony is living with another person if those living arrangements "cause such a change of circumstances as to alter the financial needs of that party". That "person" doesn't have to be your boyfriend (although it could be); it could be your parents, or your sister. If you're living with someone who is helping to support you, that could cause a modification. On the other hand, if you ARE living with your boyfriend, and you're having sex 3 times a day, but he's unemployed or otherwise not contributing to your support (first of all, dump him), then that's not co-habiting in the sense that it will cause a modification in the alimony.
