Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

court order against contact

My wife called police on me for domestic abuse and the judje ordered me to have no contact with her for 2 years . We are getting a divorce soon. Will the contact order be nulled after the divorce and before the 2 years has passed?

Re: court order against contact

Was the no contact order issued by a judge in the criminal court as opposed to the family court? If so, you would probably have to go back to criminal court and have it dissolved. If it was issued by the family court judge, then you need to clarify with the court whether it is dissolved when the divorce is final.

Why would you want to have contact with her anyway if you are divorcing her?
