Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

In Custody issues when a family gal (lawyer for the minor children) is appointed can u put in a motion to appoint a new family gal on the bases that the family gal is bias and would not be in the minor childrens best interest? I am doing a new motion to modify a previous order entered on that case from two years ago.

First of all, you generally do not have standing to ask that a GAL be removed and replaced by another GAL, even for bias.

However, that being said, I have seen it happen. Secondly, two years may be enough time to strengthen your argument. (The old GAL may not do it anymore, or may not want to do it anymore)

So, you should file the motion to appoint a new one and see what happens.
