Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
my daughter is almost 2. the biological father has not been around . I broke up with him when I found out I was pregnant because of his habits . partying, drugs, mental/verbal abuse as well as his cutting. he moved to Texas with his family after she was born because he couldn't support him self and didn't want to work. (hasn't even finished high school, although he is 21.)he plans on being a rapper one day . . he's still in Texas and has only seen her 4 times in her life. he hasn't sent money even though I've asked he has not even sent cards. he's called maybe a few times. we don't talk anymore because it only stresses me out. id like to get full custody because he has not made any effort. and I don't believe he will. I finished high school while I was pregnant went back to school in order to get a better job to support her. he has done nothing at all . what do i do and what are my chances of winning?

Although I don't have all the facts, based upon the facts as you presented them, you will probably get sole custody. You will need to file an application for custody with the family court and start a case in the Superior Court.
