Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Divorce- what kind of paperwork should I have to protect myself?

My husband keeps threatening divorce. One of these days he may follow through. We have two small children, doubtless I would keep them because he uses pot daily & has for years. However, he has a 6 figure income, and I have none, and very little earning power. I need to know what kind of paperwork I should have in my keeping, to protect me and the kids from his just taking everything. Besides photos of his marijuana stuff, I have that. I also need to know how to get proof of the other properties he has- he may try to hide them- if I can't find the paperwork around the house. Thank you.

Hello,

There are measures which are taken during the divorce proceedings that guard your rights. Financials are also exchanged and hiding assets isn't looked upon kindly by the judges. Your questions are excellent but you really need to contact a qualified attorney for a consultation. I would be happy to set one up for you. please contact my by email or phone haleil at hish dot com or by phone. Take Care.
