Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
Divorce, medical, etc.
When me and my wife divorced I was ordered to pay a certain amount of child support and to cover them on my medical 100%. My question is if she takes them to the doctor am I responsible to pay her back the $5.900 co-pay? Also if she takes them to a doctor who isn't in my plan and there is an unpaid balance of $800+ now on my credit report because she never told me and I say she is responsible for that money, she thinks we should split it - who's legally right?

Re: Divorce, medical, etc.
First of all, what does your divorce decree say about your obligations regarding unreimbursed medical expenses? It should spell out the percentages that each of you are responsible for. There should be a child support guideline worksheet in your divorce file which will also say the percentages you are each responsible for. With regard to the $800 expense not covered by your insurance you will need to return to court and request that she pay it.
