Divorced husband dies

If my ex and I are divorced..and he never changed his will..in ct..is it still legal?...meaning if he has something it goes as stated before to me..and whtever bills he has I am legally bound to pay them..and what about his retirement?

In general, unless the will provides otherwise, a divorce revokes certain provisions for the ex-spouse. With respect to the particular facts of your ex-husband's will I suggest consulting an attorney for more specific advice.

You should not be held responsible for the debts of your ex-husband. Creditors cannot collect from you unless your name is on the accounts. However, creditors can collect from his estate. The will may still be valid as to his bequesthments to you. Please contact me for further explanation.
