Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
My ex-wife travels with her job and pays a sitter to stay with them while she is gone, is this expense covered under my child support payments? We have joint/shared custody but they reside with her.

Day care is calculated separately in the child support guideline calculation. You have a percentage of day care (job related) and unreimbursed medical expenses in addition to the child support. However, if you are able to take the kids when she has to travel for work, you can make a motion to be the "first sitter of choice" so that she has to offer to let you take care of the kids before she can charge you for having someone else take care of them.
