I have joint custody of my son with my ex boyfriend, he has physical custody because of the school disctrict that he lives in is very good. A week ago my sons father admitted to having suicidal thoughts and being very depressed stating he plans his suicide every day he is also an admitted alcoholic and spends no time with his son. Our original custody case was in Arizona and the joint custody case was done in Connecticut. What are my rights and what can I do to obtain full custody of my son. By the way my sons father also wants to move back to Arizona with out our son. I pay child support to the father.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on the date of the joint custody case, you could file a motion for modification of custody. As for his moving back to arizona, I would have to see the court's order, if any, regarding out of state moves. If you need further help do not hestiate to contact me at [email protected].

If the latest case was the joint custody case in CT, then you should file a motion to modify that order of joint custody, primary residence with the father, requesting sole custody, here in CT. You also want to modify the child support as well.
Since the father wants to move back to Arizona without your son, it sounds like you both may be in agreement. If that's the case, once your court date comes up, you can go into court, draft an agreement and make it a court order.
