Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My fiance and I have been living together 5 years, 11 months. I understand that in Connecticut after 6 years a couple is married by common law. My question is: My fiance is on Title 19 because of many medical concerns. He has been on Medicare and Title 19 since 1985 when he suffered a stroke. My question is if we continue to live together and we are considered married will he lose his Title 19 insurance? If so, what should we do at this point?

Connecticut does NOT recognize "common law" marriages. Therefore, you are incorrect. You are not, nor will you ever be considered "married," unless you get married legally.
