Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Fighting a Forced adoption

I have a friend who became ill and the state of CT took custody of her children. One is 6 years old and she is being told that the current family wants to adopt him. She has since gone through all of the extensive recommendations from the state of Ct and wants her children back. The court appointed attorney stated that she could fight the adoption and possibly lose all of her rights or go through with the open adotion. What legal rights does she have to stop this.

Technically, you can fight the adoption of your child. However, I would need more facts in order to give a more definite answer. If want further help, you can email me at [email protected].
