Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

my granddaughter who is nine doesn't want to visit her mother every weekend. but my son and granddaughters mother have gone to a mediater and the arrangements are she goes to school with Dad visits with mom on weekends. granddaughter has spoken to mom about this mom says to bad. mom' s not at home for more than 2-3 hours while granddaghter is there. mom s working or mostly goes out with friends. mom 's married .with 2 other children by another man.these 2 other children are mentally challenged Granddaughter babysits .these two. grangddaughter has talked to school couselsor on how to tell mom she doesn't like babysitting siblings. mom says to bad. what can she do. dad has talked to mom but mom says to bad.

I don't have enough facts. Were the parents married and divorced? Are there court orders in place? If not, then someone needs to file custody/divorce action and seek relief from the court.
