Re: Grandparent rights

Is there any court order regarding the Grandparent? If not, I suspect you can probably do what you want. Consider though, is there a legitimate reason for not allowing the visit? Is there a problem with the grandmother that would cause harm to the child or is the child resistant to seeing the grandmother? If the reason is unresolved hurt concerning the child's father, I would try to put that aside. After dealing with a great many of these kinds of conflicts, it is really tragic that children become estranged from their extended families. It may be unavoidable in some instances. But if the avoidance is based solely on the personal pain of the association it really isn't fair to the child. Just some general advice as I don't know the particulars.
