Re: grandparents visitation rights
The Supreme Court has said that grandparent visitation is up to the parent alone. There used to be a law that grandparents could intervene in a lawsuit to get visitation, but that's been thrown out except in very limited situations. Your son, the father, should be able to get visitation, though, unless he's got a drug problem or she's got a restraining order against him.

Unfortunately, Connecticut has recently taken the position of many other states, that generally grandparents do not have rights (with limited exceptions) to visitation against the wishes of the custodial parent. The standards you have to overcome to gain access to your grandchildren are very difficult. However, your son has the right to visit with his children and could petition the court for visitation if it was not ordered in the divorce decree. If it was, he can request that the court enforce the terms of the decree. If your son has access to the children, then you can take advantage of that time to visit with them as well.
