Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

hidingmoney

I am sure that my ex-husband, who pays minimal child support because he is ''unemployed'', has interests in concerns that pay him quarterly. He listed his monthy expenses as 33,000! But he is unemployed, so his income said 0. And of course he did not list any hidden income. How do I get financial info that he has surely hidden. How do I access his last mortgage application. Surely banks do not lend money to those without income!

You can serve a subpoena duces tucem on your husband demanding that he bring his financial records with him to a specific court hearing. The court clerk can help you fill out the form. The clerk will also have to sign the form if you are acting prose. You will need to state exactly what records you want him to produce.

Also there is standard discovery listed in the Connecticut practice book. If you go to the law library at the court house, the staff will show you these references.

If you husband is receiving unemployment, that counts as income.
