Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My husband had an affair. I have been the primary care giver for our children. I want a separation for a while. I have a place to stay, but cannot bring my children. Is there a consequence to me legally if i leave the children at our home with my husband? This is in CT

I don't have enough facts about your case, nevertheless, if you are looking to be the primary custodian of the children at some time in the future, you may be hurting your chances to be so if you leave them.
