Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My ex husband has a DUI and takes his bike over to my home a mile away for parenting time and has been for months now, he is telling me to have the kid's ready this weekend his girlfriend will be picking them up with him, she is a very aggressive driver and cut off my neibour and a family member of mine, do i have a right to say no to him as far as a stranger picking them up for his parenting time? not to mention my ex has admitted she drinks and drives and she was just arrested for shoplifting,we have joint custody and i have primary residence. I just wanted to know my rights as a concerned Mom.

You have the right to insist that a responsible driver drive your kids. Apparently the ex isn't, and if his latest flame isn't either you can refuse to let them go. You may have to go back to court to get the parenting plan modified, though.
