Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My husband filed for divorce. The house is in both our names but the mortgage is in mine since he had bad credit. He has been paying half he mortgage. I would like to make a requirement that we do not accept any offers on the sale of the house that would make us take a new loss, AND that we are both legally responsible for the mortgage, taxes, repairs and insurance until the house sells, no matter how long it takes. is this feasible in CT?

You can get an order that he has to pay half (or at least some percentage, depending on your relative financial circumstances) of the household expenses (mtg, taxes, ins, upkeep, utilities, etc.) while the case is pending (it's called a pendente lite order), but the court can't issue an order regarding the sale price of the house, and who would be responsible for any loss, until the day of the final divorce. That's the only time the court can issue orders regarding the division of the assets and debts. As to whether the court would issue such an order, I don't have nearly enough facts to give you an opinion at this time.
