Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
So my husband has had full custody of his 7 year old daughter for 3 years due to the mothers drug abuse, the child having more than 40 absences in one year, attending school meetings intoxicated, and simply not having a stable environment for her. The mother has supervised visits where his daughter stays at her grandmother's (the mothers mom) from Saturday into sunday. Since he's had custody she has not paid a dollar in child support, was in jail for 6 months, she takes the child without the supervisor, and continuously violates the court order. So my question is now after 3 years she wants to attend the parent teacher conference. She has never been to one for 1st, 2nd, and now 3rd grade. Her name is no where on any school paperwork, she has never seen her homework, or even knows any teachers names. I know the judge recommends involving the other parents but it doesn't seem logical. She is throwing a fit about it but it just doesn't seem right. Is he violating anything by not allowing her to go.

You're major issue is the parent/teacher conference?
Don't you think the priority is his violations of a court order?
File a motion for contempt.
