Re: imcome after divorce

First of all, what does your divorce decree say? If there are no terms awarding alimony to your former spouse, then she/he waived any claim she/he may have for alimony in the future.

If your divorce decree awarded her/him $1.00(this means she/he has not waived alimony and is keeping the door open in the event something changes in the future), then she/he may go back to court and modify the terms, assuming your new job pays a substantial increase from what you were earning at the time of the divorce.
