Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
After Judgement - financial support question
Divorced thru mediator in '06. ex-husband pays for college for only-child, room, board, books, tuiition. Ex has always paid for her car insurance; I'm looking for a newer used car for her as old one has safety concerns. I've taken out a $2000 loan to help her and told Ex this, that i would send him the VIN # when we get the car for insurance purposes. Now he doesn't want to pay for her car insurance. Says his obligation to pay ends with the old car. Child has steady job, full time student, will pay for the car payment. Ex makes 3 times the salary as I do. If i take him to court, what are my chances of getting him to pay the car insurance for her until she graduates or can afford it herself, whichever comes first? I can't afford it, she can't afford it and she NEEDS a newer vehicle.
I don't want to waste my money in court if it's not worth my while to puruse because court will tell him he doesn't have to help her.

Re: After Judgement - financial support question
It depends on what the judgment (separation agreement) says. If I can look at it, I can assess your chances.
