Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

keeping assets

I have been married 9yrs, I was given a building lot 7yrs before I married this woman. The lot is listed in only my name at the town tax office. Is she allowed to go after this as an asset?

Re: keeping assets

She can go after it, but it's unlikely she'll get any part of it. Generaly, you get to keep whatever you brought to the marriage, unless there's something out of the ordinary here, such as this is the only asset left because you pissed away all the family fortune at Foxwoods or something.
