Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My kids went for the summer to visit their father. He is now stating that he is keeping the kids. He won't send them back and I paid for plane tickets which he didn't put them on. We live in Tampa, Fl and he lives in Connecticut.Our divorce was in Connecticut but I was allowed to live in Tampa. What can I do? I need help!!

I just got back from court in New Britain on the exact same issue. It all depends on what the CT court order says. It's controlled by the Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act and the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. I'd need to see the court orders to be able to properly advise you.

If the children lived in Florida for the past 6 months then you should domesticate the CT judgment in the State of Florida and then file a motion for contempt and pick up order.
