My childs birth certificate states his father as ... This is in fact not his biological father. HOW DO I get his name off of my sons birth certificate? He was my boyfriend at the time of my sons birth and knew he might not be the father but agreed to his name on the birth certificate. we have since departed and I would like his name taken off of the birth certificate. HIS BIOlogical father has no idea he is the father to my son. can you please help me?

You can remove the name of the "father" who is on your child's birth certificate if you get a court order and then you present a certified copy of the court order removing his name to the department of vital statistics.

I believe you can remove his name and not replace it with the true biological father, or, you can replace it with the true father. It appears you have that choice.

You can file for a change of name in the probate court where you live, or you can file for a change of name in the superior court. Either court order should be fine.

If you decide you want the true biological father's name on the birth certificate, then he needs to acknowledge paternity. I recommend that you file an action for custody/paternity in the superior court so that you can obtain court orders for support as well. If you do so, you may be able to obtain the court order for change of name within this action as well.
