Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

i live in coventry, connecticut, and am looking for knowledge about something. i have a friend that, while not being abused, is not living in a household that's best for her. she's but 16, and i wanted to know the laws about leaving home for my area. i'm very sorry if i put this in the wrong area of law, but it is important i find out soon. my friend has been made...... weak? she doesn't believe she's good enough to live at times, has been diagnosed with depression, and it's obvious an extent of this situation is caused by the constant verbal abuse her mother and grandmother deal.

If your friend is not receiving the mental health care she should be getting and you believe the cause of her mental health problems is her living situation, then you may want to contact DCF. However, if DCF does not pursue this appropriately, it could make it worse for your friend. That I can not predict.

Is there an adult who can help your friend? If so, then have the adult call a family law lawyer and discuss the options.
