Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I am not living with my husband, we have not filed for divorce. It is a hasse to get money from him. We have a one year old daughter. Is there a legal way to get child support without filing for divorce. I cannot afford a lawyer at this time. I don not work. I applied for food stamps and cash assistance but it has not come through. What do I do. I am lucky if I get 100 dollars a week after fighting for days for it. thank you tina

You can go to the Support Enforcement Unit of the Superior Court. They will help you for free. They are in the blue pages of the phone book.
