Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I was married for 33yrs and divorced 2 yrs ago. I received no alimony but the decree states that I can go after alimony if I loose my job. I just found out that my office is closing and I will be out of work as of sep30. Can I go after alimony without having to get an attorney?

Although it's always best to retain an attorney, you can represent yourself. The family relations officers at the court house can assist you in determining how much alimony is fair under the circumstances.
