can I move out of state to north carolina with my three year old eventhough we have visitation rights through the courts here in connecticut/

I'm not sure what you mean by "we have visitation rights in Connecticut." You shouldn't move out of state without a court order if the other parent of the child has joint custody and/or visitation rights.
