Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Third party deposition in divorce case

I had been seeing a man who was

married at the time, filed for divorce

and now the spouses attourney

wants to depose me. Do I have any

rights? Should I obtain my own

counsel? There is no child support in

question. Division of property and

alimony are the only issues to be

decided. A Masters hearing was done.

The settlement offered was not

accepted by the spouse. Now they

go to deposition and want to call me.

Not at all sure what to do to protect

myself and my child.

Re: Third party deposition in divorce case

You should get your own lawyer. Probably won't be too expensive (boy friend should pay, if he has the class).
