Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Pedophilia As Grounds For Divorce

My husband who I have been married to for under two years has become enfatuated with child pornography. He is a fire fighter in Connecticut as am I. Despite all I can do, he is not sexually aroused by me and seems to only get aroused when he is on the Internet abusing children with email, seducing them in chat rooms, or viewing pictures of them on the Internet.

Is this grounds for divorcing the man? Will I have to pay him allimony since I make more money than he does? Due to our status as Connecticut fire fighters, I am apprehensive about filing for divorce on these grounds. Especially since his fire fighter buddies enjoy this same activity with him.

Would I be better off claiming he is homosexual and unable to satisfy me? Thank you.

Re: Pedophilia As Grounds For Divorce

I would speak to an attorney as soon as possible. I don't think the homo charge will work with out more, but he is not one I would trust if you have or may have children. If you can't get him to medical treatment and want a divorse, contact an attorney to get a consultation on how to proceed. Most divorse attorneys will give you a consultation at no charge. You can contact me if you wish to discuss this,in person, to discuss what direction you should take. Thanks, Tom Noonan
