Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

personal effects

I have a dating relationship where I lived with my girlfriend. After leaving we identified money that I owed to her. I am willing to pay and she has asked me to sign a promissory note indicating such. In the meantime she is refusing to release two expensive possessions of mine until I sign the promissory note. Do I have any recourse to get the possessions back.
