Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I am in the process of filing an uncontested divorce in conn.married 1 1/2 years,,lived together for 7 before that,,she is asking for $3500.00 to end this marriage.says she needs car,,presently back in vt.tells me i would have to pay 10 yrs,alimony..she was cheating on me for the last 4 yrs..and i should still have to pay??

She most likely isn't entitled to 10 years of alimony if you were only married for 1.5 years. The 7 years you were together before your marriage doesn't count since CT does not recognize common law marriages.

I can't tell you if the $3500 is reasonable or not because I don't know what either one of you earn nor do I have any information regarding your assets.
