Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Separation Agreements

My husband of 23 years is haveing his 5th affair. I want to get a separation agreement but don't want to hurt the kids - I can stay in the same house with him for now. What do I do?

Re: Separation Agreements

The process for a legal separation is the same as that for a divorce - same paperwork, same time frame, same cost, same division of assets, same award of alimony. The only difference between the two is that after a legal separation, neither of you can remarry. Also, either party can convert a separation into a full divorce at any time with or without the consent of the other party. So why would you want just a legal separation? You can call me to discuss. eight six zero two three three six three three six.
