Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I am only seperated from my wife and not even legally. We both still have custody of my daughter, but she has been living with me most of the time, since we just moved back to ct from Las Vegas. Now she wants to move out of state to New York. If I let her take her, is it possible for her not to give her back to me? Can I keep my daughter from her until I talk to a lawyer or filing something with the court. She told me today out of the blue that I'm moving out of state and I'm taking her with me, and we will trade her off in two week intervals for visitation. I don't want to keep my daughter from her mother, but if she is going to up and leave with her I don't want to let her see her either, for the fear of her kidnapping her. Plz help me. Ty for your time. Sincerely Eric Beauchemin

You need to file a divorce action asap and along with that a motion requesting the court to order that your daughter stays in Connecticut.
