Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

simple divorce taking forever

My husband's attorney is doing NOTHING. I don't have my own attorney because I knew we could agree on things, and we do. She has not done the agreement yet and does not answer my phone calls. My husband does not really care. What can I do?

Tell your husband you're going to get your own lawyer to expedite this thing AND you're going to ask the court to pay your attorney's fees. (They will order that if he makes more than you and he's the one dragging his feet, most likely). That should get him to prod his attorney.
