Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

I'm a social worker in a Connecticut school. I have a father that was awarded sole legal custody of the minor childre, with primary residence also with father. Mother is calling wanting access to school records which we initially denied, but then called superintendent and complained. superintendent then called stating we need to give her access citing CT.Gen Stat 46b-56(g)- because she is the non-custodial parent.

there seems to be confusion on their end of law interpretation of sole custody and rights of access to records. PLEASE ADVISE

The mother is entitled to the records under the statute even if the father has sole custody.
