Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
My son's father is not listed on his birth certifcate nor has he legally established paternity of our son. He denied my son and pops in and out of his life when he feels like it. My son is 7 and i've tried to let my son have a relationship with his father but it causing more harm than good. He tells my son he's gonna pick him up and doesn't come then my son becomes angry and starts to act out. I've been advised by a Psychologist that I need to stop contact between my son and his father for the immediate future. Does his father have any legal rights to my son? Am I required to to allow him to see my son?

So long as there are no court orders establishing his paternity and custody/visitation, then you do not have to let him see your son.
