Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

tax refund

I am going to filing for divorce soon unfortunatley, there is adultery, etc. going on for almost 12 years, my spouse did our w2's both our names are on them, he did them online, he had the refunds electronically put into his own Bank of America acct. which he has made sure i am not on, he has spent the state refund without my knowlege, isn't that illegal? the federal hasn't come in yet, so he says, he says he will give me half, but i don't trust that, he also went into Websterbank and closed out our joint acct. without me even knowing

Re: tax refund

Once a divorce is filed, certain "Automatic Orders" go into effect which prevent either party from closing accounts, cancelling insurance, disposing of assets, etc. So I suggest you file ASAP to prevent further dissipation of assets.
