Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Visitation rights of a fourteen year old father

My son was fourteen when his daughter was born. She is now 17 months old and we have not been able to see her for three months. Her mother is twenty-one. We have had genetic testing and it showed probability of paternity to be 99.99%. I want to know how to establish visitation rights with the baby, and also would like to know if my son will be required to pay child support for the time when he was too young to have a job.

Re: Visitation rights of a fourteen year old father

Have your son file a Paternity action. This will establish who the father is. You have already done this so that information would be included in the Petition for Paternity. Then the issues of visitation and child support will be addressed. Therefore, discuss this an attorney in your area.
