Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
How can I go about getting visitation to see my 8 year old nephew? My brother and his wife divorced about 3-4 years ago and she has custody. She does not let anyone in my family see the child. She moved and changed her phone number. my nephew grew up with my 2 youngest children for the first 4 years of his life and now they don't see him at all. What can be done about this?

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it. The law has really limited visitation to third persons under the most stringent circumstances. You have to already have a parent-child relationship with the child (not a "relative/aunt/uncle" type relationship) and the lack of visitation actually has to be almost harmful to the child.
It's really much more complicated than I have tried to describe here, nevertheless, it's nearly impossible to win one of these cases in most situations.
Why doesn't your brother bring your nephew around to see you and the children?
