Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
my wife had an affair, we are going through a divorce because of it, we have no kids, no house, or assets to speak of, i kicked her out of the apartment and am unemployed and collecting from the state. i am having trouble making ends meet as far as rent, electric, gas and cable. she is living in her grandmothers basement and can save a lot of money now. also her 2 jobs are economy safe and secured because she has always been employed by her parents....her father is a CPA and she is his secretary, the second is working as a nurse part time for her grandmother not through a company but a job in which her mother pays her.
Can i sell her engagement ring and band to help pay some of my bills? or can i collect alamony or some kind of reembursement for my financial status.........i make $800.00 a month and my rent alone is $875.00 a month. my fees for court have been waived and now i can hardley support myself.

You should file a motion for alimony pending the divorce action. You may be entitled to alimony and/or a contribution to the marital expenses.
