Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

wife and child left in the dark

My hubby and I are married and with one child that is not even a year old.. he went to jail for domestic violence and trying to run my over with his truck but his sister got him out on bond. ALL THE BANKS ACC ,,cars, creit cards,and the house are all in his name.. I have nothing in my name. .. he has not gave me any money to feed the baby and myself . HE has been out of the house for 16 days but he is aloud to come back into the house. he does not give the baby and I any money or ask how we are doing and he is the bread maker of the family.. there is money in the bank but I can not touch it because my name is not on it.. IF I GO TO WAlfare to help me they will put a lean on the house and he will get more mad at me and i don't know what will happen next.. what happen to my child and I if he get lock up ?

CAN HE SIGN power of attoney over to his sister? How will I support my child AND I? WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO HELP ME PLEASE

I strongly advise under these facts that you consult an attorney. If you cannot afford one you should see what local legal aid resources are available. Furthermore, most localities have organizations specifically related to domestic violence and helping/protecting women involved in such relationships. (e.g. you will need a protective order).
