Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut

I have a joint bank account with my ex-girlfriend. For the past 6 months, I have been the only one making deposits into this account. She withdrew approximately $400 from the account without my knowledge or consent, and has admitted to doing so. I have since opened a new bank account, but have been thus far unable to recover my money. I have bank statements from the past 6 months showing deposits/withdrawals. Will I be able to recover my money in small claims court? This incident took place in Connecticut.

Maybe. You will need to explain a defense to why you still maintained and used the account with her name on it even if you did not intend for her to have the benefit of any of the money deposited into it.
