Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Connecticut
legality of petition
Do originals of petitions need to be
submitted as opposed to copies, do they
need to be dated, does the petition
statement need to be on the top of each
page submitted, does the name of the
person who gathered the signatures need
to be on the petition. thank you

Re: legality of petition
Not really sure what type of petition you are talking about (town meeting, etc. . . ) - but copies should be ok, but they may require original, yes date it, yes put statement on it and yes the person who gathered it should be on it. If not, it may not be fatal depending on the type of petition. Really needs more information to properly address this question.
